Very rare ecclesiastical cardinal's coat of arms representing the emblem of Cardinal Désiré-Joseph Mercier (1851-1926).
Mercier was belgian, he became cardinal in 1907 and this is his emblem, with his motto.
Very rare object, which was probably placed somewhere under the direction of the cardinal and consists of a wooden base on which was applied paper then decorated with the design of the coat of arms.
The emblem is in good condition, there are signs of wear of time on the paper layer (look at the photos, please).
The certificate of authenticity is included.
