Unique and original work with a complex composition, oil on canvas of considerable size by the American painter and composer Mark Kostabi (1960), dating back to the year 2003.
Extraordinary proof of the characteristics of this artist, rare for subject and year of execution, coming from a private collection.
The canvas is signed and dated on the front; signed, dated and with title on the back.
It includes the artist's authentication and our certificate of authenticity, complete with photo, description, year and dimensions.
Recognized as an international artist since 1987, the year in which his works are requested by the galleries of Japan, United States, Australia and Germany, he founded "Kostabi World" in 1988: his studio, gallery and office in New York.
In the mid of 90's he was also active in Rome, where he became a real model for Italian artists.
In his works we often find constants, such as the citation of other works and the depiction of faceless subjects that recall the figures of De Chirico's mannequins.
The famous art critic Vittorio Sgarbi says of him: "Kostabi strives to still produce works realized through a certain degree of manual skill, as in the times of Giotto, Raphael, Guercino, similar among them, but never quite the same.
The maximum of modernity thus becomes the maximum of tradition: Even in the era of global serialization and the internet, art maintains a sense when it remains craftsmanship, a practice that is done primarily with the craft of the hands.
