Unique artwork, a rare watercolor on cardboard by the Master Valerio Adami (1935).
Starting with an expressionist type of painting influenced by Bacon and later with gestural painting, Adami returns to figuration following the echo and influence of American Pop Art; especially of Roy Lichtenstein.
Thus, in his compositions, a sort of fantastic and ironic comic story comes to life, where banal objects are arranged in depersonalized interiors, assumed as symbols, even sexual, of modernity.
The artist's style clearly stands out in the use of the chromatic material in flat layers, within the sharp black contours of the drawing.
The combinatorial practice of signs and formal elements, the visual vocabulary that Adami has adopted in his "System of closed forms", fits perfectly with the statement "The drawing looks like a freshly shuffled pack of cards that will find its order in the rules of game".
The work includes the authentication on photo of the Master and our certificate of authenticity, complete with photo, description, year and dimensions.
