Large painting, oil on canvas, made by Reiner Karge (1944-1995).
The painter was born in Hamburg and, in love with the Ligurian Riviera, he moved permanently to Castellaro, in the province of Imperia.
For years he taught painting and engraving at the artistic circle of Piazza Nota in Sanremo, continuing to exhibit in Switzerland, Germany, Monte Carlo, Cannes, Nice, Bologna, Sanremo, Bordighera and at the Capo d'Orlando Art Gallery.
He became friends with the poets Giuseppe Conte and Lamberto Garzia, who dedicated some poems to him.
He founded the theater company that performed in the Ligurian Riviera and at the Ariston Theater in Sanremo, which is one of the most famous cinema-theaters in Italy.
Struck by an incurable disease, he died in 1995 and now rests in Castellaro.
The artwork includes our certificate of authenticity, with photo, description, year and dimensions.
