Branded on the back (Cooperativa Ceramisti brand), it is in good condition, with slight signs of restoration and time (see the photos, please).

The technique of luster is a particular decorative preparation of ceramics, originated in Persia around the year 1000, which arrived in Italy and took root in Umbria between the 14th and 15th centuries.
This process involves applying with a brush a mixture of metallic salts and clay diluted with wine vinegar to an already finished, enamelled and cooked ceramic piece, then put back in the oven at a temperature of 600 degrees. Introduction, in cooking, of smoke substances such as firewood, pine cones, brooms, sugar, etc.
All this produces the final effect that results in wonderful reverberations of golden yellow, ruby and silver.
The wood-burning oven used for this procedure was called "muffola".
